Trainee and Young Solicitor Group Latest News
October 26th 2006 saw the launch of this, the brand new West London Law Society Trainee and Young Solicitor Group website, at the Heights Bar in the St Georges Hotel on Great Portland Street. The website is a unique collaboration between the Group and Lawyers in Private Practice, an internet-based jobs website where law firms can advertise their jobs directly to lawyers. The website is the next step in the growth of the Trainee and Young Solicitor Group, which was only formed in April 2006, and an indication of the determination of the Group’s Committee to establish the Group as a well-known part of the legal community.
Trainee and Young Solicitor Group About Us
The West London Law Society Trainee and Young Solicitor Group is a sub-group of the West London Law Society (which has been operating in the West London area for over 40 years). The Trainee and Young Solicitor Group was the brainchild of Michael Nathan, President of the West London Law Society, and the Group’s Committee was formed in April 2006 by inaugural Chair John Gripton. The Trainee and Young Solicitor Group is free to join for any trainee or 1-3 year PQE solicitor and its aims are threefold: To provide opportunities for trainees and newly qualified solicitors to meet in relaxed social setting at events organised by the Committee; to provide educational talks/seminars specifically targeted at trainees and newly qualified solicitors; and to assist its members in finding jobs via our site’s jobs section.
